The South Orange-Maplewood School District is a shared district serving the two adjacent communities of South Orange and Maplewood, sending all secondary students to Columbia High School. (grades PreK-12) If your child has autism and attends school in South Orange, Maplewood, Autumn ABA provides BCBA-led, in-network ABA therapy that works alongside their education — at home, in the community, and in coordination with their school team.
How Autumn ABA works alongside your child's school
Your child's school and their ABA team should pull in the same direction. With your written consent, our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) can:
- Align goals with the IEP — we review your child's Individualized Education Program and Child Study Team plan so home and school targets reinforce each other.
- Attend IEP meetings as a member of your support circle when you invite us.
- Share progress data so everyone sees what's working and adjusts quickly.
- Support carryover — skills built in ABA generalize into the classroom, and classroom challenges inform the ABA plan.
